Likes is a story about Chunxiao, a deputy class president at her Chinese middle school, secretly fantasizes herself being an objectified woman under the influence of warped views on sexuality and identity from social media and entertainment. In an attempt to become a cool girl in school through a talent show, her innocent beliefs on femininity is broken through a disgusting scam by a respected mentor. In a inherently patriarchal world, Likes speaks the voice of Chunxiao beginning to embrace her most truthful self.
